DIY Necklace Holder || Cute & Functional!
Recently I realized my jewelry is a huge mess and is often just cluttered on counter tops and the top of my dresser. After looking through Pinterest I came up with some ideas to fix this. Today I want to share with you how I am now organizing and displaying my necklaces.
Of course I wanted to make this piece on my own, I've always loved a good crafting session. One issue is that I don't have a craft store near me so I had to have an open mind and work with what I could find. I decided on using a canvas and painting it, hoping the details would work out later.
I taped off the canvas in a chevron pattern as best I could.
And painted the white space black. It took three coats of paint.
Then I removed the tape while the paint was still wet to avoid the tape being dried there for good, and let the paint finish drying.
Next I had to figure out a way to hang my necklaces. I was thinking push pins but then came across some small stick on hooks in our "junk drawer".
I attached them at the top of the painted canvas in varied widths apart (so different necklaces would have enough space).
And voila!
30 minutes and some creative juices and I had a super cute display for my necklaces that also got them off the counter tops and my dresser. I leaned it up against a picture frame, but later realized it is an 8x10 canvas so I will be picking up a simple frame for it to have of its own soon.
I love the outcome and think it's such a nice touch to my bedroom!
Until next time, xoxo,
