My One Word for 2017

I've seen many people posting about one word they chose to focus on for 2017. I've watched the current phenomenon become bigger over the past couple of years and decided I would choose a word this year. I'm hoping to stick with this word and build off of it. I want to occasionally write about how the word came into play and about different experiences I've had because of, based around, or that fit with "my word".

My word is present.

I want to be present in every conversation I have, with everyone I come in contact with, in each situation. I don't want to just hear, I want to listen and engage. I don't want to just see someone, I want to interact. I don't want to just be somewhere, I want to experience.

I don't want to dwell on what could be or what was, I want to be in the moment. Be in that exact day living what is going on that time. I want to step out of my comfort zone of being a planner and go with the flow. I want hear of an opportunity or adventure and go for it.

No more dwelling. No more missing out. I am going to be present this year.

I can't wait to see how my goals, hopes, dreams, and word play into my life this year. I just know that 2017 is going to be fabulous. It is going to be full or opportunity, adventure, and thriving.
