Current Beauty Favorites!
I have quite a few favorite products but I have narrowed it down some for this post, the following products are the ones I find myself reaching for more often than not, and few of them I have used completely up and cannot wait to repurchase! I hope you find this post helpful, and if you have any questions on a product leave me a comment below and I will do my best to answer!
Enjoy! :)
Current Favorite Hair Products
Not Your Mothers She's A Tease Volumizing Hairspray
This particular product made my favorites for a few reasons, but the first is because of how amazing it smells! This has no hint of the typical strong hairspray smell. It has a light fruity smell, but is not over baring and leaves your hair with just a hint of a scent all day long. The second reason this product made my favorites is because it does not make your hair crunchy. It holds your hair in such a way that it stays in place all day but is not stiff. I found this worked exceptionally well when I wanted to wear loose curls in my hair that would "flow". I purchased this hairspray from Meijer for about $4. For that price I was very impressed. This brand claims to be "salon worthy without the salon price" and I would back that up 100%!
Aveda Dry Remedy Oil
I absolutely love this product! All of the Aveda products continue to amaze me in all of their glory. I use this product on both wet and dry hair by putting a couple drops in my palm, rubbing them together, then gently spreading it through the bottom third or so of my hair. My most favorite thing about this product is that it basically eliminates the appearance of my split ends. (Yes, I have terrible split ends.) It is also very light and does not make my hair feel weighed down or greasy. I am very careful not to add extra weight to my hair as it is already extra heavy on its own. This product can be purchased at any Aveda Salon, my particular product was purchased from a local Aveda Salon by my lovely mother for me. Thanks, mom!
Current Favorite Skin Care Products
Freeman Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Facial Mask
Ugh. I love this stuff. I don't use it often, as I luckily do not have overly tough skin to care for. (Knock on wood.) I use it when my skin is feeling extra dry or I am having a break out that I can just not get under control. After I apply it to my damp skin I let it dry then simply rinse off. It leaves my skin SO soft and energized feeling. Who knew your skin could feel energized? Anyway, it is a simple product with a simple yet amazing outcome. I would recommend using this product about once a week followed with a great face moisturizer to lock in all the wonderful hydration you just gave your skin. I am no expert by any means, but I would not recommend anything I truly did not feel works! My face feels wonderful after using this product! I purchased this product from Meijer for about $4.
Aveeno Ultra Calming Makeup Remover Wipes
I am totally lazy when it comes to taking my makeup off at night. Wipes are my face lifesaver! These ones have no harsh scent, and have a cooling affect on the skin. Just one wipe gets the job done all the way down to my eye makeup (if it is not water proof). I often use one wipe to get all of my makeup off then use one more for good measure and to feel the "calming" which is definitely present. These wipes are a bit pricey for my liking, about six to seven dollars for one pack of 25...but they are wonderful and worth it. I purchased mine at Meijer.
Current Makeup Favorites
Covergirl Clean Foundation for Normal Skin
First, a short story... Last month I bought Covergirl Clean foundation for "Dry" skin... AND HATED IT. Never again will I ever switch my foundation. Okay, maybe that is a lie. What I should say, is that I will always keep some of this favorite as back up. It has the perfect coverage, almost always covering any blemishes on its own without concealer, is the perfect texture and thickness, pours easily and is smooth. I apply it with a skin perfecting foundation brush from Sephora and I love the outcome. This product is also reasonably priced at about $6 per a bottle, and there is almost always a coupon in the P&G Penny Saver.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
This concealer is absolutely amazing for under the eyes. It is cool and light, with great coverage. I don't have to use much and it is very liquid-y which makes it so easy to apply. It certainly covers the under eye circles and when I follow up with a touch of powder my skin gets a flawless finish that I am very impressed with. The downfall to this product is that it is hard to find. I purchased this tube at Meijer for about $4 and when I went back to repurchase it was no longer available. I have heard that this happens often so next time I find it I will be purchasing more than one tube!
Epic Lash Mascara from Victoria's Secret
When purchasing things from Victoria's Secret you often don't think of beauty products but I am so glad I was able to try this out. This mascara is now my absolute favorite and I am not sure I will ever be without this again! The formula is very wet which allows for an easy application. It drags the lashes out to a perfect length and I love to wear this mascara alone on an easy makeup day or as the finishing touch on a smokey eye. It is so versatile and lovely. I received this mascara as a gift, so I am not for sure on the price, but trust me when I say this, it is worth whatever the cost is!
Urban Decay Naked Pallet
*Sigh* I waited for so long to get this pallet, and it was totally worth the wait. This pallet has 12 colors all varying in different neutrals. Each color is true on the eye to what it looks like in the packaging. The formula stays put all day long and with so many choices of colors the looks are endless. This also comes with an eye shadow brush and I love that as well, and I am not done yet, you also get a sample size of the Urban Decay eye potion (their eye lid primer). The pallet was purchased from Sephora for $52. Worth every penny my friends!
Current Favorite Scent
Victoria's Secret "Very Sexy"
This scent is light, yet great. I wear it nearly every day. All I can say about this product is go try it! I love this scent and Victoria knocked it out of the park! It stays on all day long and it only takes one spray or two for a desirable strength. This will most likely be a lifelong favorite!
So, there you have it! My current beauty favorites! I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I loved putting it together. Leave me any questions or comments in the comment section below!
*For when I become a huge beauty blogger: I purchased or received all of these products personally. I was not asked to review or mention any of the above products and am in no way bragging about anything that I have.*
